Nucleus BankOS demonstration will showcase adapfin’s approach to Progressive Core Independence

CHESTERBROOK, Pa., August 31, 2026 — adapfin, developer of the AI-native Nucleus BankOS, announced today that it will demonstrate the platform on the main stage at Finovate Fall 2026 in New York City on September 9.

In under seven minutes, adapfin will build a banking product live on stage, including onboarding and servicing, demonstrating what becomes possible when financial institutions have greater control over their technology, products, data and operating models.

adapfin was built around a simple premise: banks and credit unions should not have to choose between living with legacy technology and undertaking a high-risk, multi-year core conversion.

Nucleus provides another path. The platform can operate alongside existing infrastructure, allowing institutions to introduce new capabilities, consolidate technology and progressively move products and operations to Nucleus as value and performance are proven.

“If launching a new banking product requires months of development, dozens of integrations and permission from your core provider, the bank doesn’t really control its technology,” said Endre Walls, CEO of adapfin. “For decades, bank modernization has meant adding more technology around a core that was never designed for what financial institutions need today. We think it’s time to simplify while raising expectations. At Finovate, we’re going to reset the expectations of bankers—in under seven minutes.”

adapfin calls its modernization approach Progressive Core Independence: a deliberate path that enables institutions to prove, run, expand and ultimately retire legacy dependencies without requiring an all-or-nothing conversion decision at the outset.

Nucleus is a customer-keyed, AI-native banking platform designed around the financial institution’s customer rather than disconnected accounts and products. It brings core banking, data, operations, risk and regulatory capabilities into a common architecture, using AI to turn institution-wide data into actionable customer and operational intelligence while reducing the systems, integrations and vendors required to operate the institution.

The result is a fundamentally different question for financial institution executives:

Not what technology should we add next, but what can we finally turn off?
