Business-case model

What is your core actually costing you?

Run your own numbers through the model we use with institutions: what you could stop spending on the stack you run today, side-core first or after a full migration. The method is shown in full, so your CFO can pull it apart.

  1. 01Start from what you spend todayAnnual technology spend, the vendors in your stack, headcount and assets. Nothing is stored unless you ask for the report.

Run your own numbers

What is your core actually costing you?

Core, digital, risk, data — everything you pay to run the stack.

$100K – $100M

Distinct providers touching core operations.

1 – 30

Full-time equivalents.

5 – 10,000

Used to benchmark your spend, not to size the savings.

$25M – $100B

What you could stop spending

Per year, on the stack you run today. This is not what Nucleus costs.

Running side-core

Your existing core stays in place.

$469K–$626K
a year · 15–20% less

After a full core migration

If and when you decide to move.

$960K–$1.3M
a year · 30–40% less

At 22.9 bps of assets, your spend sits within the 20–32 bps adapfin models for institutions $1B–$5B — about $17.8K per employee.

These are reductions to the stack you run today, before the cost of Nucleus itself. adapfin licenses in packs, so the net depends on which capabilities you take — ask us and we will model it against your actual contracts.

How this is calculated

Every figure here is a reduction in what you spend today — not a price for Nucleus. Full-core replacement applies adapfin's published modeled core OPEX reduction of 40% to the annual technology spend you entered. Side-core applies the same efficiency to only the portion of that spend which is not the incumbent core contract itself (modeled at 55%), scaled by the share of your stack that is not the core — because in side-core your existing core keeps running, and keeps getting paid. The low end of each range is 75% of the modeled figure.

Modeled figures based on the inputs above — not audited customer results, and not a quote. The peer range is adapfin’s own modeled band, not third-party survey data. Ask us to walk you through it and we will.
